Curator Jackie Habets
Came to Istanbul for the Opening

Curator Jackie Habets who came to Istanbul for the Vizonshow opening of Hat & Art exhibition that strongly emphasizes the fact that 'hat' is not only an object of design but an object of art is known for her pioneering works for combining various art disciplines. The famous curator at her opening speech said "VizonShow, bringing in Hat & Art not only serves to art and creativity but also serves to the culutural exchange dynamics which are getting more and more concentrated between Turkey and European Union. I offenr my sincere thank to Vizonshow for making this exhibition possible.

Hat & Art Site
Hat & Art Exhibition, a co-production of Rotterdam Center of Plastic Arts and Dutch Hat Platform is presented in Istanbul by Vizonshow after the presentation in U.S. within it's international tour. The exhibition took place at Dirimart Nisantasi, one of the newest galleries of Istanbul for a duration of thirty days.

Hat & Art, consisted of three sections
.
The first section presented 11 hat designers and their partner artists from different disciplines.

The second section presented the works of master hat designers among whom Stephen Jones (the hat designer of Jean paul Gaultier) and Isabelle Leourier (the hat designer of Chrisitian Lacroix) were present.

The third section consisted of hat pins designed by sculptors and jewellery designers. Karl Fritch's work named "I love Duchampt" being on eof the most remarkable ones.

Hat&Art, takes place as a purely cultural activity of DIRIMART's first year.
